MLBL House League Headlines

High School House League Evaluation Schedule

High School House League Evaluations will take place on Saturday, November 19 at Freedom High School.  The schedule is as follows:

High School Boys

- 9th Graders arrive at 4:20pm

- 10th Graders arrive at 4:40pm

- 11th Graders arrive at 5:00pm

- 12th Graders arrive at 5:20pm

High School Girls

-  All arrive at 5:45pm

High School House League

The High School House League is for players in grades 9-12 who do not play for the High School scholastic team.  We delay the start of the evaluations until after the High School tryouts are completed to allow those players who do not make the High School scholastic team the opportunity to participate.

House League evaluations will be held on Saturday, November 19.  Specific times and locations will be announced in early November.

The High School teams generally play Sunday afternoons, with some Saturday afternoon games.  A few practices are scheduled, but the focus of this league is to provide a place to play games.

The season runs from mid-December through mid-February.

Evaluations are done to allow the coaches to judge the player's skill level.  We divide the teams based on these evaluations.  For some age groups, we divide the kids in to multiple divisions based on the results of the evaluations.  All kids are placed on a team - we use the evaluations to simply maintain parity in our league.

For the 2nd grade developmental division, we divide the teams based on their schools/neighborhood.  No evaluations are done for this level.

Request to have players play together are considered by the coaches  but cannot be guaranteed.  Volunteer coaches are guaranteed to coach their own children.  Assistant coach requests are not guaranteed.
